TypeScript 7.0 RC is out: a stable API and the final stretch before release π
TypeScript 7.0 RC stabilizes the API, with a Go compiler, TS 6 coexistence and improved type inference.

A lot has already been said about TypeScript 7: how fast it is, how great it is, and what a game changer it is. Rather than repeat the marketing slogans, letβs get straight to the point: the API is officially stable, the Release Candidate (RC) is ready, and that means there will be no more critical changes before the final version. You can start migrating gradually.
If you missed the betas, here is a quick rundown of the highlights:
β A massive speed boost: The compiler has been rewritten in Go. Type checking and builds on large projects now absolutely fly.
β Strict isolation and coexistence with TS 6: You can run packages on TS 6 and TS 7 within the same project without pain. Monorepos can now be upgraded incrementally without breaking types at the boundaries of legacy modules.
β Advanced type inference: Working with tuples and rest elements has become much nicer. The compiler understands context better without the endless as const workarounds.
Essentially, the RC stage is the final polish. Type-checking errors have been pinned down, breaking changes are in place, and the team is collecting the last round of feedback.
Have you already tried installing the betas, or will you wait for the full 7.0 release in production? π
