Chrome Canary has gained a new experimental feature: support for system text scaling on mobile operating systems. The article’s author, Josh Tumath, explains that desktop browsers have long respected the base text size, while mobile websites have usually ignored users’ system settings.
Now this can be addressed with the new <meta name="text-scale"> meta tag, which lets a website adapt to the user’s chosen text scale.
The feature is already available behind the Experimental Web Platform features flag.
