jQuery 4 is out after all
Twenty years after its first release, jQuery 4 drops IE below 11, adds Trusted Types and CSP, adopts ES modules, and fixes focus order

You weren’t waiting for it, you didn’t ask for it, but jQuery 4 is out after all.
It’s been 20 years since the first release, and the web has changed a lot in that time: everything we once loved jQuery for has long since become part of web standards. You’d think there was no longer any need for the library, but its developers disagree.
Version 4 finally says goodbye to IE<11 (yes, 11 is still with us 😅), adds support for Trusted Types and CSP, moves the codebase to ES modules, fixes focus order, and much more.
At least somewhere in the world, one WordPress is happy.
